How Can We Help?

Common Questions

Booking & Payment

How far in advance should I book my trip?

We recommend booking most trips at least 3-6 months in advance to ensure availability, especially for peak season destinations. Some of our more exclusive or limited-capacity adventures may require booking 6-12 months ahead.

For last-minute travelers, we occasionally have openings due to cancellations. Contact our team to inquire about late availability for your desired destination.

Booking Planning
What is your cancellation policy?

Our standard cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 90+ days before departure: Full refund minus deposit
  • 60-89 days before departure: 75% refund minus deposit
  • 30-59 days before departure: 50% refund minus deposit
  • Less than 30 days before departure: No refund

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances. In cases of extraordinary circumstances (such as medical emergencies with documentation), we may offer more flexible terms on a case-by-case basis.

Practical Travel Information

What vaccinations or health precautions are required?

Vaccination requirements vary by destination. We provide basic health information in your trip documents, but recommend consulting with a travel medicine specialist or your physician 4-8 weeks before departure for the most current recommendations specific to your itinerary.

For many destinations, it's advisable to be up-to-date on routine vaccinations such as measles-mumps-rubella (MMR), diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, varicella, polio, and annual flu shot. Some destinations may require additional vaccinations like Hepatitis A, Typhoid, or Yellow Fever.

Always check official government travel advisories for specific health and safety information about your destination.

What type of accommodations can I expect?

The accommodations on our trips vary based on the destination, itinerary style, and trip category:

  • Comfort: 3-4 star hotels, boutique guesthouses, and upscale lodges
  • Premium: 4-5 star hotels and luxury accommodations with distinctive character
  • Expedition: A mix of comfortable hotels and unique experiential lodging (tented camps, mountain lodges, etc.)

In remote locations, accommodation options may be limited, but we always select the best available options that offer cleanliness, comfort, and authentic local character. Specific accommodation details are provided in each trip itinerary.

Is travel insurance required?

Yes, comprehensive travel insurance is required for all of our trips. Your policy must cover:

  • Emergency medical expenses and evacuation
  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Coverage for your specific activities (hiking, water sports, etc.)
  • Personal belongings and baggage

We partner with several reputable insurance providers who offer policies specifically designed for adventure travel. You're welcome to use our partners or obtain coverage from your preferred provider. Proof of insurance will be required prior to departure.

Given the remoteness of some of our destinations and the nature of adventure travel, adequate insurance is not just a requirement—it's an essential safeguard for your journey.

  • Comfortable walking/hiking shoes
  • Personal toiletries and medications
  • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
  • Water bottle
  • Camera or smartphone
  • Travel documents (passport, visa, insurance)

For specialized trips (trekking, water sports, etc.), your packing list will include specific gear recommendations. In some cases, specialized equipment can be rented locally – your trip advisor will provide details.
